my process
Sometimes people would like to know what a celebrant actually does.
In short, prepping the legal stuff and connecting the dots of the ceremony.
But if a memorable, relaxed, individual wedding sounds more like you, then I’m here for it.
I work together with my couples to plan, prepare and conduct the ceremony that works best for you, while discovering the language that speaks of your love and offering support along the way.
I believe each wedding, no matter how big or small, should tell the unique story of each couple. But don’t worry; I prepare all the legal stuff too.
All ceremonies include the following:
Meetings in person or via phone/online
NOIM preparation
Vow writing coaching & guidance
Marriage solemnisation
DONLIM & lodging of official marriage certificates
Support on your wedding day & any vendor coordination required
FAQs
how long will the ceremony take?
Between 20-30 minutes is standard. If you’re not up for much mushy stuff and really just wanna get to the kissing part it’ll be more like 20 minutes. If you have ten cousins doing readings and five rituals to get through, then it might be more like 35 minutes.
are you lgbtqi+ friendly?
Hell yes.
Can you help us with wedding vows and other wordy things?
Yes, indeed. Vows don’t need to be scary! I will send you examples to choose excerpts from or write your script from scratch offering as much coaching, guidance until they’re just right,
do you have your own pa system and microphones?
Yes, absolutely and I am able to play background music if required.
Can I bring my dog (cat/alpaca)?
Of course! I insist. Venue permitting, you may have the ring bearer of your dreams.
do we need a wedding rehearsal?
You don’t have to, but I do recommend it. Not only does it help getting a sense of the flow of the wedding day, it’s a great opportunity to get a feel for your venue.
Can we include a handfasting/sand mixing/wine & chocolate/jelly wrestling ritual?
Friends, you can have (almost) anything that floats your boat. Let’s get creative and make this a day to remember!
